I've done it on Sparc Solaris 8. (32 bit though)
Did you follow the directions exactly? (the touch commands, not building in
the source directory, use GNU make, etc)
And what did you use for a bootstrap program?
Perhaps this weekend when I (hopefully) re-release my properly marked GNAT
5.01p for Redhat 9 x86 I
could also put together some sort of Solaris (8) package.
