One of my associates is looking for some reusable software. This
is *NOT* a homework assignment - although it may look
suspiciously like one. The Engine Control Monitor (ECM) is a
real, live project and we're trying to save you guys tax $$$$ by
not reinventing the wheel.

  The user community has asked for an equation option for the ECM; e.g.;

        ECM->SET A8_DIAL_ADD_CM=(A8_MAX-A8_NOM)*.5-SIN(A8_ALPHA)

  The interpretation and execution of an arithmetic statement is surely one
of the most common problems thrown at aspiring programmers.  One would then
assume that somewhere out there would be 'THE' definitive (most efficient,
easy to understand and use, etc.) subroutine/package/function.
There are at least 3 available at GESP; Terry's TADA, Fachetti's PCGRASP,
and UNIGRAPH's.
  I would really prefer to use an 'off the shelf standard' package if
one could be found.  I will need source code and would prefer Ada
if possible.

  Do you know of any such package?
