Hmmm.

The link is a pointer to a table of the popularity of programming languages
and suggests that it can be used to make decisions on which programming
language should be used in new systems.

However, the index is calculated based on the number of search engine
hits, which means that the more hyped a language, the higher up it is in
the index.

Ada is currently at position 18 while VB is at position 5. The status
explanation implies that this makes VB a better suited language from a
supportability point of view for "industrial, mission-critical software
systems". as VB has an A rating while Ada has a B rating.

I don't think that further comment on the relevance of this table to
choosing a programming language is required. :-)
