Are there any examples of :

    C++ code, compiled with gcc (or egcs)
    Ada (thin) Binding to the above to use with gnat 3.10
    Win32 platform preferred but Linux would do just as well

Any pointers would be appreciated

Yes, look at the samples that come with GNAT...
