There are three current POSIX/Ada projects, along with a study group.

1. IEEE Project P1003.5a is producing a small update to the 1992
standard, mostly to fix some defects discovered since 1992.

2. IEEE Project P1003.5b (was P1003.20) is producing an Ada binding
to the POSIX Real-Time extensions and to the POSIX Threads binding.
This standard is currently in ballot.

We'll probably 'merge' both P1003.5a and P1003.5b ballots, by
producing a single document with sections noting things are in
the .5a scope and things that are in the .5b scope.

3. Test Assertions to IEEE Std 1003.5-1992 is producing, as the title
imples, a set of tests for .5. This work is being done by a group at
Clemson using a technology that should support the automatic
generation of a test suite for measuring .5 implementation
conformance. This is something that we really need.

There is a study group currently examining the possibilities of
doing an Ada (95) binding to MOTIF. The primary issue with this work
is the non-existence of any Ada95 bindings to MOTIF to use as a
starting point. (Generally, IEEE standards should be based on
existing practice, but this is not always the case...)
