There is no such thing as "POSIX compliant threads".  The POSIX
threads standard (P1003.4a) is still in ballot, so there's no standard
to conform to.  

Presumably SGI is supporting one of the drafts of P1003.4a.  Which
one?  How much has the standard changed since this draft?
