As I said, I couldn't remember exactly which issue the quote was
in reference to, it was in the middle of a list of current open
issues, one of which was derived types.
But as you clearly indicted, and I was trying to communicate as
well, all the committees did--and did very well--both times was to
help one person put together a coherent integrated language that
satified a very large menu of requirements.
