Need help:Convert Number String to Integers?

Hi,

Can someone help me here.  I have no clue if ADA may have a defined
call that will take a string and convert it to digits.

For example:  I need to convert this string like '144323433' from ASCII
numbers into integer values so it is then 144323433 and not of character.
Can someone please help me with this, or give me a little code that
will show me how to convert?

It's easy, Ada provide the attribute Value that does what you want :

	v : Integer := Integer'Value ("144323433");

Image is the oposite attribute :

	s : String := Integer'Image (144323433);

The predefined input/output packages can do this, e.g. text_io.integer_io.get
