Announce Group Update

It has been about a week (May 5th) since I posted a request
for replies about an Announce news group for c.l.a. To
date, I have received 17 replies, 12 in favor, 3 against,
and 2 which were so diplomatically written as to be totally
ambiguous. Many were in favor of a moderated board to
confirm the proper use of the announce board.
  It is really sad to say, but NO Ada vendors,
repositories, government agency, volume type Ada
consumer... NONE replied. I can only surmize that unless
I get a reply from the potential posting side of the Ada
community, it is all for not, no go, down the tubes. :-(
  17 replies on a world wide Ada board is hardly
encouraging, but I will leave the request til it dies from
the great timestamp.
  I got replies from employees of vendors, but no official
comment of ANY kind from the vendor or ANY organization
dealing with Ada. Just thought you'd like to know...
