We are working on our first public release of an Ada95 compiler for the
Macintosh. 
Beta versions are currently available for both the 680x0 and the PPC. 
FTP addresses are at the end of this message.

The following text provides some information on who we are and what we are
doing. We are interested in error reports, suggestions and other feedback.

What is it?    GNAT compiler and associated tools

Power Mac
    Host:   PowerMac, running Tenon's MachTen UNIX (4.02 or later)
    Target: PowerMac, running MachTen (4.02) or MacOS (7.5.1 or later)
    compiler: GNAT (v.3.03) sans tasking, for now

Motorola  68030 & 68040
    Host:   Macintosh 68040, running Tenon's MachTen UNIX (2.2)
    Target: Macintosh 68040, running Tenon's MachTen UNIX (2.2)
    compiler: GNAT (v.3.03) sans tasking, for now

What is MachTen?
    Tenon's Intersystem's MachTen is a POSIX conformant UNIX and a software
    development environment based on GNU. MachTen was selected by MacUser
    as a "Best Connectivity Finalist" in 1991 and, in 1994, UNIX World's
    Open Computing magazine named MachTen "A Best Product of the Year".

When will it be available?
    Phased releases to our Internet site, beginning in May, 1996. 
    Tenon Intersystems will release an affordable MachTen CD, with GNAT and

    our tools bundled, in Fall 1996.

Will it be validated?    Validation is planned for Fourth Quarter 1996
Will it have Mac Toolbox Support?    Yes, on the PowerMac (PPC)
