O.K. How about the "Red" end of the list and the "Blue" end of the list? :-)
To stick with a more Ada flavor: use of 'First and 'Last consistency is
good - as would be imitating Ada.Strings and having "type Direction is
(Forward, Backward);" (implying a 'Front and 'Back - of sorts). I'd
personally vote for a Front and Back as this would be consistent with what I
have usually seen with double-ended lists & could be made consistent with
Ada.Strings.
Or we could see what kinds of names have been given to such things in other
libraries & be consistent with common usage if such exists. Or perhaps some
of the academics can let us know if there is a consistent usage in Data
Structures books?
