        Quite some time ago there was a thread here on C.L.A. about towns with
the name Ada.  Well, I found the one in Alabama, and sure enough there was a
liquor store there called the "Ada Package Store".  I got two decent photos
of it, and you are welcome to them.  They are available on the LOSAT FTP
server.  FTP to losat.redstone.army.mil (136.205.36.75) and you will find
ADA_AL1.GIF and ADA_AL2.GIF in a directory called ADA.  You can log in with
"anonymous" and use any eight characters for a password.

        Ada, Alabama is located about 15 miles south of Montgomery, the state
capitol.  I looked for an Ada police car, but I suspect that Ada has no
police department of its own (is this prophetic or what?).

        To the owners of the Ada WWW sites, you're welcome to add these images
to your web server at your discretion.
