This is a heads-up before the official call for papers. The Southeastern
Simulation Conference this year is going to be held in late October in
the Huntsville area.

My officemate is heading up the conference, and he's volunteered me to
lead two sessions on "New Paradigms for Distributed Simulation: VRML, Java,
and the Web". Since those are merely topics I'm *supposed* to know about
in my job, rather than topics I *actually* know about, obviously somebody
other than me needs to be speaking about them.

Incidentally, I see no reason why AppletMagic or Ada 95 features or other
new technologies for distributed computing wouldn't be just as appropriate
as Java, VRML and HTML -- the words after the colon in the session title
are mere suggestions as far as I'm concerned.

If you could be in the Huntsville (AL) area toward the end of October
1996 -- exact dates will be announced soon -- I'd appreciate it if you'd
think about what kind of short paper or presentation you might be able
to give in that general subject area.

Please email me if you think you might like to participate.
