Wanted - Info. on Ada and flight controllers

I am looking for the descriptions of Ada applications in embedded systems - in
particular those involving flight controllers.

Ideally, I would like information on why Ada was chosen as the implementation
language, and a description on the advantages over other languages in these
applications. Any description of the actual implementation would also be
most useful.

Any suggestions, or references would be very much appreciated.
