1. Conference titled "Business Process Reengineering for the
Securities Trading Industry" is to be held July 14-15, 1993 at
the Helmsley Hotel, New York City. The sponsor is KPMG Peat Marwick,
Michael Bein (pronounced 'Bean') of their San Francisco Office.
The purpose of the conference is to discuss how $15 billion in R&D
over the last 15 years has gotten banking nowhere. Virtually every
programming language has apparently been tried except Ada.

2. Magnus Kempe (magnus@lglsun.epfl.ch which bounced from here) writes
that several software developers make financial applications in Ada for
"conservative" Swiss banks. Magnus, please post the the names of
developers / banks if possible, or respond by private e-mail with the
developers names and addresses so I may contact them. (Thanks \b|-> )

Would it be too much to request that no flames, wagers, or protests
be lodged regarding the banks until AFTER the conference? Also, would
someone in NYC environs *please* go the conference and summarize the
facts (probably amazing by then) to those less fortunates who can't?
