Subject: GNAT on Mac OSX
Date: 2000/11/26

Message-ID: <8vs6ed$jea$1@nnrp1.deja.com> (raw)

I recently downloaded the gnat sources only to find out that the
gnat tools are needed to compile gnat. I have gcc running on my
machine, but I don't think I'll be able to build from GCC 2.8.1 as the
powerpc-apple-darwin host type is not supported (at least this was
the case for GCC 2.9.5). I understand that the appropriate files are
being included with the newer snapshot releases of GCC, but I'm
not quite sure this helps.

What other ways if any can I get gnat to run under Mac OSX? Are
there any "projects" out there that are attempting to do this? With
the underlying OS being BSD-based, I'm sure it is possible to do.

Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated,
-Mark
