This article is all about how Java is getting more popular,
but I was amazed it metioned Ada and Pascal. It seems
that Ada is still popular in engineering in Europe.
(they are calling Ada an 'older' technology, even
though Ada95 is younger than Java !)

Learn Java

A strong call for Java was also seen in the
financial sector, although engineering
industries were sticking with older
technologies such as Ada and Pascal."
