I also use grasp for my ide http://www.eng.auburn.edu/grasp/ 240kb
I copied graspada to /usr/local and gcc is located in /usr/local/bin
my profile looks like this its all in the readme's
PATH=${PATH}:/usr/local/bin:/usr/ccs/bin
export PATH
GRASP_HOME=/usr/local/graspada
export GRASP_HOME
