Actually, there IS a big difference in the standards here.
Unlike the C standard, the Ada standard may not mandate a
layout standard, but it does strongly suggest one. How?
By laying out the syntax rules in the recommended style.
Consequently, the basic layout in Ada is typically far
more consistent than in C, since people generally follow
the RM for Ada layout.

There is also a fairly official document called
Ada Quality and Style. Fairly official means that it
was generated with a general consensus process, and
published as one of the Ada project documents. OK,
it is not an official standard, but many people follow
the recommendations in this document. As far as I know
there is no comparable document for C.
