Exactly, and the ARG activity is simply a forum for trying
to provide a little structure so that these additions are
carefully discussed, and uniformly implemented, making it
more likely that the above process will work right.

Right, definitely no patents here. Actually in the case of
these two particular extensions (Unchecked_Union and
C_Pass_By_Copy, Ada Core Technologies was not the originator
of the names or the ideas).
