I was looking for the package Ada.Interfaces on my machine but I could
not find it. Where is it generally installed?

It's just package Interfaces, in the standard place - here, for
instance, /opt/gcc-4.3.3/lib/gcc/i386-apple-darwin9.6.0/4.3.3/
adainclude/interfac.ads

That depends on your compiler. Some compilers won't have a human-readable
version at all; in those cases, you must rely on the ARM and the compiler
documentation.

many thanks for your help.
I found the needed Ada spec files in
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.3/adainclude
on my machine running Debian/GNU Linux (Lenny) with GNAT-GPS 4.0.1 and
GNAT 4.3.2 (2006).
