Subject: What is the origin of `pragma'
Date: 29 Jun 89 12:38:56 GMT	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <8906291247.AA19739@ti.com> (raw)

I know all about pragmas and such, but a simple question...

Why was the word `pragma' selected?

Any ideas or pointers to references would be appreciated.
