Software Engineering Technology, Inc. on behalf of the Defense Advanced
Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Software Technology for Adaptable, Reliable
Systems (STARS) Program announces a technical briefing and conference to
identify the areas with research "breakthrough" opportunities to reduce
overall risk in the STARS system development process. Currently Boeing,
IBM, and UNISYS have initiated a five year Ada software development
environment incorporating a software first life cycle. This conference and
industry briefing presents some of the opportunities for breakthrough
initiative research projects.
The conference and industry briefing is designed to stimulate proposals
for innovative "breakthrough initiatives" from the software research
community in areas such as:
Software First Life Cycle
Ada Environment
Software Quality and Reliability
Prototyping and Incremental Development
Repository Operations
Reuse Methods
