Well, that's probably 'athene noctua' aka the Little Owl:

Not a bad animal to use as base for a logo/emblem/mascot. A curious,
smart, good-looking bird. About the only thing not in character for Ada
is that the chicks tend to start out rather dumb, up to and including
falling out of the nest, behaviour so common that the parents have
evolved to continue taking care of the now ground-bound chick.

(this is where the Dutch expression 'Uilskuiken' (owl chick) for 'idiot'
comes from).
