I found Paradise - it isn't yet available for Linux. (And possibly
not Solaris either). Is porting this going to be overkill just to get
some socket functionality?
Are there any other easy-to-get bindings?

Other socket bindings are available from the Ada Information
Clearinghouse. The name of the package is Ada/OSI. Operating System
Interface. It is in the bindings section. Start at
http://sw-eng.falls-church.va.us/AdaIC/source-code/Welcome.html
On the February 96 Ada cdrom the socket stuff was removed from this
directory. It might be that the socket stuff has been removed from
Ada/OSI.
