hello. i have a report due for class which will encompass the IBM390
instruction set and hardware architecture. does anyone know where i
could find such information? any help will be greatly appreciated.

This really isn't an appropriate group for that type of request. Try Comp.Arch
where they discuss computer architecture. On the other hand, using Google to
search for: IBM 390 "instruction set" provided over 4100 hits, with sites like:
http://www.planetmvs.com/hlasm/s390faq.html Oh, and you might find something
useful at www.ibm.com
