In today's (Thursday 31 July) Guardian (the UK newspaper) is a
photograph with a caption that says:
"Campaigner John Donald surveys the decaying family monument to Byron's
daughter, Ada Augusta Lovelace, the 19th century mathematician and 20th
century cyber heroine credited with a key role in developing computers.
A project to restore the monument at Kirkby Mallory, in Leicestershire,
has just won a [UKP]33,000 lottery grant."
Does anyone know anything about this monument? I haven't heard about it
before.
