IMO, there seem to be two factors moving companies and people
away from Ada:
1. Companies don't want to train people (it costs money).
2. Ada knowledgeable software engineers are rare and therefore
expensive, and companies would rather have a cheap workforce.
While it is most likely true that experienced people working
with the support of a language like Ada can probably out
produce (per their cost) entry level <fill in popular language
name> coders, this does not seem to be taken as pertinent where
the decisions are made.
Welcome to the race for the bottom (line).
