I would not say the article is interesting, but it is
certainly good humour. I assume no one is so humor-impaired
that they would interpret it literally, but perhaps there
are even those who interpret "A Modest Proposal" from Swift
literally :-)

One entertaining postscript is that at the original press
conference in 1983 which announced the first Ada 83
validation at NYU, one of the reporters asked

"if all computer programs are written in the same language
and can be easily understood, won't that create a serious
security issue, since it means the Soviets can easily
understand our programs?"

or something like that :-) :-)
