Welcome to comp.lang.ada, Hee. As you can see, I do not
understand the Korean language, and my newsgroup reader
is not set up to typeset the Korean letters.

Unfortunately, it might be necessary for you to re-send your question
about Ada-95 in English, if no one answers it in Korean.

Mike

Kudos to Richard for helping the Adaphiles in remote lands.

This set me to wondering: does anyone know into which languages
RM95 has been translated, or about non-english Ada 95 books and
training materials? If this could be supplied to the ARA, perhaps
these resources could be identified on the www.adaic.org site.

Our company does a good deal of work with Russia; when we convert to
Ada 95, they will need to convert also. When I go there, every other
engineer an Ada 83 book (textbook or LRM) in Russian. They will
need some materials for Ada 95.

I have begun a correspondence with the person from Korea who
posted the original inquiry. His name is Son, Sang Hee.
He is using Ada on Red Hat Linux.

They had an Ada symposium at his college, Soongsil College. He is
a budding Ada enthusiast. There is a URL for the symposium,

Mr. Hee indicates there are no Ada 95 books in Hangul (the written
form of the Korean language), and only three Ada 83 books. It would
be great if someone could fund a translation of the ALRM into Korean.

If you write to Mr. Hee, keep your English very simple -- no complicated
sentences. He does not speak very much English. He is willing to hear
from other Ada enthusiasts if they can communicate clearly.

I know that there are some defense projects in Korea being done in
Ada. There is not much else in Ada. At least one Korean university
has seriously to my knowledge. I believe someone from ACT visited
Seoul last year.

I have a copy of the Ada 95 ALRM in Japanese. A good translation
job done under the guidance of Mr. Jun Shimura, Chairman of
Japan SigAda. I understand there is a Chinese version, but I
do yet have a copy. I have access to people who could do the
Korean translation, but cannot afford to fund it myself.
