As to the advert issue, I don't mind them at all, if posted by a regular c.l.a
poster. The poster at least ought to be willing to hang out and answer
questions. A bunch of slick empty marketing drivel would be less than welcome.
Ada job postings are in a different category entirely. Even if you aren't
looking for a job, they are much less of a nuisance than the "there are no Ada
jobs" flamewars we'd get otherwise.

Ditto here. When I was at lmc I got a lot of spam directed to an email
address I had ceased using 4 years before. I suspect I'm not the only one,
based on the number of munged email addresses I see people using here.
I've found with a bit of effort put into an email filter, spam actualy can be
quite entertaining. Some of the scams are downright hilarious.
