My employer is looking to hire some Ada developers, the pay is decent and relocation expenses to Huntsville, Alabama can be covered (yes, you have to be in Huntsville--and don't get all hung up on the "Alabama" part, Huntsville is the Rocket City, the home of Smarter Every Day, a NASA center, and has the Southeast's largest privately owned arts center, Lowe Mill).

Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: HigherEchelon (http://www.the-he.com) seeks an Ada Software Engineer to modify existing Apache AH-64 flight software Ada code (developed by Boeing) and related software models/simulations to support independent flight software testing.

The candidate will develop in a Linux environment and modify (as required) existing simulations, models and drivers. The candidate should have software tools experience and be able to read requirements and as required create new code to support AH-64 PPSS independent testing efforts. The candidate will create, compile and execute automated test procedures and maintain software development folders for modified or new Ada code.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree and 9 years of experience (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)

Required Skills: Previous Ada development experience in Linux environment.

Desired Skills: Avionics experience, Army aviation and embedded flight software development experience is a plus.

Successful candidate must possess a SECRET clearance.
