A much (and everyone here says it) better book than Barnes for beginners
with the language is Jan Skansholm's Ada from the Beginning (2nd ed.)
It is superbly translated from Swedish (I think Swedish, whack me over
the head with a limp VB Programmer's Manual if I'm wrong) and I find
it both indispensible and the only book I ever need (but them I am only
and undergrad! :-) )
