Any ADA RT tutorial?

Hi!

Is there any good  tutorial (in postscript) on ADA, with emphasize
on concurrency and real-time issues?

Is it possible to do port I/O and interrupt handling with GNAT Ada95  or
ObjectAda
compiler under Windows NT? Pointers to source code examples
would be appreciated?

Burns' & Wellings' ``Concurrency in Ada'' and ``Real-Time Systems and their
Programming Languages'' come to mind.  Both are superb but I am afraid you have
to negotiate with the authors to get the PostScript files of these two books:  

Burns, Alan and Wellings, Andy: ``Concurrency in Ada'', Cambridge University
Press, 1998.  0-521-62911-X

Burns, Alan and Wellings, Andy: ``Real-Time Systems and their Programming
Languages'', Addison-Wesley, 1996.  0-201-40365-X

With Ada's Systems Programming and Realtime Annex, the answer in general is
yes.  For specific compilers, you should study the compiler's documentation.

NT doesn't allow programs direct access to those low-level mechanisms (this
is *not* a language isssue, its an OS issue). But you can do whatever C can
do on NT simply by linking in and calling the C routines. If you get
Microsoft's DDK you might be able to write code to do these things in Ada,
but I don't know that much about the DDK.
