32 bits? that wont do. for time synching you need 64 bits. . .
In any case I thought lemme quickly (note the word 'quickly') port the little rs232 terminal program that I did, to zfp. So I want to use the system time-tick timer (for measuring), so it is in the board support packages, so I plant what I need in some subdirectory and start dropping what I dont need and compiling and catching bugs. A great learning experience.
So now I have a question you might have seen the answer to, on one of your travels:
Where exactly does the system drop from supervisor mode into user mode?
and also where is the silly routine to go back into supervisor mode?
I thought I combed the ravenscar init section through properly but no luck.
I know the theory about it. But it would be great to see an example.
And I did not spot any system setup in the zfp collection! (That is the worst).
May Oberon live forever (I even wrote a single pass compiler for a mini version long ago, for some other embedded project).
cheers,
j.
