Face the facts folks: the story is partly right. The CIA tried to make
the
Soviets believe, that Ada will be used in Military Systems. However
the US
did not consider that the KGB had a plan of their own...
they made the Americans believe that Soviet hardware would be going to
be
programmed in C. Thus the Americans thought: if rrrrussian hardwarrrre
is
going to be programmed in C, then C must be verrrrry good for systems
with
small memory.... the rest is history. ;-)
