If you compare with interpreted languages or languages with an unique vendor, sure, but as an open, compiled language, Ada is very portable, it not the most portable.
Consider Zip-Ada, which builds on both GNAT and ObjectAda out of the box for at least 19 OS/CPU/Compiler combinations with a single source set!...

It would be very restrictive. Perhaps you want to have flags like "Any compiler" or "GNAT only".
