I represent HCS Computer Specialists, a placement service in San Diego,
California. Our clients have current openings for Ada programmers and
software engineers (as well as numerous openings in various other software
disciplines).  All fees are paid by the employer.

1. One client requires Ada Software Engineers with XWindows experience on SGI
Unix.

2. Another requires a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop
client/server applications using Ada, Unix shell scripts, Oracle 7 SQL, and
Powerbuilder; familiarity with Windows 95 and/or Windows NT is required.

3. Another requires a Senior Programmer experienced in Object-Oriented Design
using Ada and Oracle SQL on Sun Solaris.

4. Another requires a Senior Programmer with at least five years experience
in software development, including at least three years experience using Ada
and Oracle SQL.

We have several openings for experienced Ada (Ada95 preferred) software
engineers to work on a multi-year program at United Defense LP, Armament
Systems Division in Fridley (adjacent to Minneapolis) Minnesota.  The program
is currently completing requirements definition activities with generation of
SRS documents and is transitioning to preliminary design.  The application is
embedded real-time fire control with extensive human-machine interface
involving communications, vehicle mobility, and on-board crew training, all in
a hardened mission critical environment.  The development environment makes
extensive use of Rational tools and Ada95 compiler.  The target environment
utilizes PowerPC processors and LynxOS.  Extensive system modeling and both
low and high fidelity model simulation using SGI hardware is also integral to
the development program.
