As a student, the transition from Pascal to Ada was not very difficult. Ada
encourages and allows code that is more like pseudocode. This involves a few
more rules than Pascal. Thus, it is at first a bit more difficult to get
used to (e.g. having three different types of strings), but it makes the
program easier to follow and logically easier to design.
It is not an overly complex language, it just has many features that are
perhaps at first a bit overwhelming, but in the end lend to better programs.
