ADA DEVELOPMENT TOOL NEWS
==========================

GrammaTech is pleased to announce it is now shipping Ada-ASSURED version 3.2
and an innovative new Ada development tool set called Ada-Utilities.

Ada-Utilities
=============

Ada-Utilities is a new language-sensitive batch-processing tool set useful
for ensuring that the source code of an entire project meets coding style
and quality standards.

The tool set features Ada-Audit, a source code auditor that produces HTML
reports identifying style errors and providing hyperlinks to the
corresponding source code and coding standards documentation. Ada-Audit is
designed for project managers, QA engineers, and IV&V reviewers who need to
monitor code quality and want to automate the process.

For software engineers and reviewers who need to go beyond passive
monitoring of code quality, Ada-Utilities includes additional tools for
correcting errors and for implementing a consistent coding style across
multiple files. Ada-Utilities also includes Ada-ASSURED, which was used by
the Software Productivity Consortium to check and format all of the examples
in the Ada 95 Quality and Style Guidelines.

Ada-ASSURED 3.2
===============

Ada-ASSURED is a multi-purpose tool for language-sensitive editing,
browsing, automatic style compliance, pretty printing, code analysis, and
code transformation for Ada 83 and Ada 95. Features include: syntax
coloring, automatic high-quality formatting, context-sensitive templates,
hypertext browsing, scripting language, and Ada structural
navigation/editing.

The new release introduces extensive menu-level integrations for several
leading Ada development environments including Aonix ObjectAda, Cayenne
ObjectTeam and TeamWork, and Green Hills AdaMULTI. Ada-ASSURED 3.2 also
offers support for Windows NT for the first time, in addition to continued
support for most UNIX platforms.

I neglected to mention that in addition to the integrations with complete
development environments, Ada-ASSURED can be integrated with any Ada
compiler and includes integrations for GNAT, SunAda/VERDIX/Rational
compiler, OC Systems IBM compiler, Texas Instruments/Tartan compiler, DEC
Ada compiler, Aonix ObjectAda, and Green Hills Ada compiler.

The compiler integrations enable users to call the compiler from Ada-ASSURED
and, after compilation, to view any compiler error message and instantly
navigate from error message to the corresponding source code.

Thank you to Robert Dewar for bringing this oversight to my attention.
