Crosstalk, The Journal of Defense Software Engineering, has dedicated its 
January Issue to examining the immediate and long-term impact of the Y2K 
Challenge with the Defense Services and Agencies.  The wide range of 
perspectives offered on the Y2K topic includes:  Software Configuration 
Management; Encapsulation Solutions; Management; Software Inspections; 
Certification; Implementation; and the "MacGyver" Solution; among others.

Included in the January/February edition of Ada Letters is the annual 
listing of software reuse course offerings, compiled by Dr. Trudy Levine 
of Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Reuse, Inc., System Technology Institute, Data & Analysis Center for

ADA UK 15th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Topic:  Ada

The 1988 Ada UK conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel, Bristol on 
19-22 October 1998.

The conference will cover the usual aspects of good software
engineering practices but will especially address two themes related
to problems of coping with change. Change is easier to control if
components and interfaces are kept stable by using recognized
standards such as Ada. This conference specifically addresses two
themes where software stability really matters.
