As a follow-up to my earlier question about an Ada-smart editor
I am now looking at Xinotech's Program Composer.  Looks quite 
interesting and runs on multiple platforms, including PCs.  It
seems to handle Ada structure manipulations very well, but I 
didn't see any ability to cross-reference names among units
(i.e., I'd like to place the cursor on a name and jump to its
declaration).  The Composer works for a number of languages (it
uses abstract syntax trees on-the-fly) and can be tailored to
enforce project standards to boot.  Finally, it integrates with
design languages like AdaDL and Byron.   

Apparently Xinotech recently got a big endorsement by having the
Composer selected by one of the services (I forget which) for a
large project or set of projects - to the tune of about 1/2
million bucks of sales.  Anyone with usage experience?  

I have also gotten several notes about the applicability of the
Ada-tailored version of gnuEMACS.  A big advantage here is that
you can get the source and can thus implement all sorts of
goodies if you have the know-how and time.
