6th International Real Time Ada Workshop (IRTAW-VI)
CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Ravenscar, Yorkshire, U.K.
Early September 1992
The series of international workshops on real-time Ada
issues have been influential in both identifying the
limitation of Ada 83 for real-time programming, and in
defining the real-time requirements for Ada 9X. Ada 9X will
be fully defined in the next few months, and it is essential
that there is a smooth transition to the new language. The
6th workshop in this series will focus on those issues which
have been identified as being critically important to this
transition These include:
o Paradigms for using Ada 9X.
o Implementation problems/experiences.
o Technical transition issues.
o Real-time POSIX and Ada 9X
o Formal Methods and Real-time
o Design Methods
Participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
Attendance will be limited to 35-40 people, and selected
from the submission of
a) a 6-10 page position paper on topics relevant to the
above issues, or
b) a summary of their relevant experiences with Ada 83.
