    6th International Real Time Ada Workshop (IRTAW-VI)

                   CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

                 Ravenscar, Yorkshire, U.K.

                    Early September 1992



The series  of  international  workshops  on  real-time  Ada
issues   have  been  influential  in  both  identifying  the
limitation of Ada  83  for  real-time  programming,  and  in
defining the real-time requirements for Ada 9X.  Ada 9X will
be fully defined in the next few months, and it is essential
that  there is a smooth transition to the new language.  The
6th workshop in this series will focus on those issues which
have  been  identified as being critically important to this
transition These include:

o    Paradigms for using Ada 9X.

o    Implementation problems/experiences.

o    Technical transition issues.

o    Real-time POSIX and Ada 9X

o    Formal Methods and Real-time

o    Design Methods

Participation  in  the  workshop  is  by  invitation   only.
Attendance  will  be  limited  to 35-40 people, and selected
from the submission of

a)   a 6-10 page position paper on topics  relevant  to  the
     above issues, or

b)   a summary of their relevant experiences with Ada 83.

All accepted  position  papers  will  be  published  in  the
Workshop Proceedings, together with session summaries.

Important Dates:

        Receipt of position papers or summaries by January 31, 1992
        Notification of acceptance by February 28, 1992
        Acceptance of invitation by April 14th, 1992
        Provisional workshop dates 1-4th September, 1992
