No more dead than smalltalk.
There is a bunch of defence code written in Jovial and you can still
buy ( albeit for 30,000 $ US ) Jovial development envirnoments.
Ada ( an excellent language BTW ) is used by Boeing and a bunch of
other firms.
( and in the defence sector )
However, like Smalltalk, they are niche languages.
