* How good is GNAT?

I recently posted this question to the GNAT chat group and someone
pointed out (probably rightfully so) that the readers may have a
"bias".
Now I ask the general Ada community. Any inputs would be appreciated:

Can someone give me some insight into the pros and cons of using GNAT
over other products? How stable is GNAT? What experiences have you had
getting support from ACT? What problems/limitations have you
encountered with the compiler? Would you use GNAT for a large
development? Any concerns using it with Sun Solaris on SparcStations?
Any information is welcome. Thank you in advance.

I am working with a group who is considering the use of the GNAT
compiler on a Sun running Solaris. I am looking for opinions about the
compiler's reliability, performance, quality of ACT's support, problems,
etc. Any inputs are welcome. I will summarize the results and repost
them soon for anyone else who wants to know the same info. Thanks in
advance.

Richard,

Well, I find your question not very appropriate.

I would prefer : how WONDERFULL is GNAT ?

And I would have answered that it is an very very EXCELLENT compiler.
Maybe the best in the market !

Pascal.
