You missed nothing (and please don't bother to read any
of the first five replies in this thread, they are off
on a wild goose chase :-)
You have no constrained types in your program, so there
are no range checks, so you should not be expecting
any range checks. Remember that float and long_float are
unconstrained types in Ada 95.
