Folks,

I am looking for a binary distribution of GNAT (3.11p or higher) to install
on an AIX 5.1 system. Does anyone know where I can find one ?

As explained in the file ftp://ftp.cs.nyu.edu/pub/gnat/README,
old versions of gnat are to be found in
ftp://ftp.cs.nyu.edu/pub/gnat/private/old/

Among the items there is
gnat-3.12p-powerpc-ibm-aix4.1.4.0-bin.tar.gz

Hope this helps.

That may handle my current problem, however, the code as distributed was
build on 3.13 (although the readme says 3.11). If the former is required, I
may need more help in either finding a 3.13 version, or the process of
building a 3.13 up from 3.12.

Thanks

Dale

P.S. Location of a 3.13 binary would still be nice :) DKP

AIX is fully supported by GNAT Professional, and version 3.14a1 has
been released, contact sales@gnat.com for details

It shouldn't be *too* tough to compile yourself, for someone reasonably
proficient with compilers. However, if your company is paying for your time
doing this, it might be more worth their money to purchase it from ACT.
