I'm considering rewriting a piece of Linux system software in Ada
(too many C buffer overruns in the last few months on bugtraq).
Is the Ada Binding to POSIX System Services available for gnat/Linux?

Yes, It's called Forest and is available from the same sites
as GNAT. BTW, according to the author, it was developed under
Linux.
