I recently completed a quick pass through the Hot_Ada tutorial included with the
Thomson ObjectAda product. As most of you probably know, this tutorial uses
the Fusion methodology/notation. Anyone have experience using this notation
that they are willing and able to share? Any good tools available which
automate use of Fusion? A quick check at the HBAP, acm and sw-eng sites didn't
turn up much. I found one tool, Paradigm Plus, that listed Fusion, but no
price was listed.

Matt

There is a Fusion web page at
     http://ww.hpl.hp.com/fusion

There is a quarterly, hardcopy Fusion Newsletter, which
you can receive by contacting its editor, Ruth Malan at
     malan@hpl.hp.com

There is an electronic newsgroup called Fusion Forum,
which you can subscribe to. (see the web page)

I am the author of HOT_Ada. I recently attended the
OOPSLA conference and attended a Fusion user group meeting
where I learned of these and other interesting things --
from a group of enthusiastic Fusion users from a number
of companies and application domains.

Derek Coleman and several others are working to extend
and improve Fusion, and will produce a new book sometime
next year. They will use the UML notation, and are
working with the "three amigos" and others to define
the final UML notation proposal to the OMG.
