Current research at A&M involves applications using the Sequent Balance 8000
parallel computer system and the Verdix Ada Compiler. Two runtime Ada
systems are available on the Sequent: one for the sequential and one for
the parallel. This talk will report experiences in porting Ada software to
the Sequent Balance 8000 and compare the sequential and parallel runtime
implementations and their performance.
